Piano patches

I feel compelled to put in an unsolicited plug for the piano patches that Sam Streeper has put on his website:
http://www.best.com/~sams/alesis/

Some of these piano patches are just outstanding - dramatically better than the stock piano patches. The frequency filter velocity sensitivity mapping is great - sounds get mellower at lower levels, like they should. I haven't used a stock piano patch since I downloaded his collection, and I now find my old favorite piano patch (#00 True stereo) truly repugnant. My two favorites on Sam's bank are #68 (Piano DS 2) and #66 (Piano Gs 5. The #68 patch is dark, rich, and can be loaded up with reverb on slider D that makes it just perfect for slow moody stuff like Beethoven Moonlight Sonata and the like. If you own an Alesis QS and want better piano sounds, you MUST go get this stuff!

Thanks for sharing your work, Sam!

Sincerely,
Peter
