I'm not sure you can do this via sysex; I don't think that the QSR recognizes the necessary system common messages (song start/stop/continue, etc.) that would be necessary to accomplish this. One thing you can try to do is set up Cakewalk (or any sequencer capable of receiving and sending sysex) to record whatever sysex info is transmitted when you run through the process of starting it up on the front panel. If you get anything, try playing it back to see if the QSR responds. If you get something but it doesn't quite work it may take a little tweaking to get it right.

: I think this could be accomplished with a sysex command from Cakewalk, but I'm not sure what the command would be to do it.

: I'm not to sure why you would want to use Cakewalk just to start a midi sequence from a card, as one could use Cakewalk to play the entire sequence itself.

: : I can start a sequence from the front panel.
: : Both MIDI stop and song select work properly.
: : But I cant seem to start a sequence from MIDI.

: : Any ideas?
