I have been playing electronic keyboards for fifteen years and I must say that the piano sounds(specifically true stereo and pure stereo) on the ALESIS QS series are by far,to me the best sounding piano sounds out there. For the price you can't beat them.I own a QS8.1,QS7.1,and two S4 modules. If you are planning on giving your children piano lessons,I would choose the QS8.1. It is the same as the other Qs keyboards, but it has 88 keys, like a piano.and they are weighted, like a piano, giving it a pretty close to authentic piano feel.Be warned though that this keyboard isn't as light as the other QS keyboards. It weighs about 65 pounds and is pretty bulky so you'll need a good stand to hold it
