I have a QSR and this is one of the things about the QS that I find most irksome -- no simple 'effects off' switch (unless I'm missing something too).
Generally, what I do with the QSR is to route the output to Aux L/R instead of the Main L/R since the Aux doesn't get the effects feed. Sometimes, if I'm trying to simultaneous record several tracks in Multitimbral Mix mode, then I'll stay with the Main L/R and use the Mix/Effects edit function to zero out the "Mix" amount of the effects that feeds back into the main.
