Since you have a new unit and it's probably still under warranty, you should report the problem to the company you purchased your QS6.1 from. They should be able to assist you further and give you instructions on how to best resolve the problem.

When I purchased my QS8 the display did not work on it even though all the voices played fine. They company I purchased my unit from was willing to make an even exchange on another new unit with me. It was much quicker than tying my QS8 up in an Alesis repair facility.

: Just unboxed my new qs6.1 last nite. was moving thru the programs and auditioning the sounds. was on the preset 1 bank, pgm 04 and switched to 05 (Rayz Roadz) when the board seemed to create its own feedback and produced some rather strange sounds from my speaker system i have it attached to. Tried with headphones and the same thing happened.
: I can get it to go away (some of the time) by selecting the 05 program again. Also the D slider seems to change the amount/type of feedback.
: I tried reinitializing, no luck. so i continued thru some more programs and it came back on a few more.
: Is there a simple way to find out if this is a defect in the board or just something i can "turn off"?
: Any help would be greatly appreciated.
: I dont want to have to box it up after the first day!
