I am having a problem with frequent system crashes when using the above hardware. I have a Mac G3 (beige) 300MHz, using MacOS 9.0.4, and I am using an old-style Mac serial cable from the printer port to the QS 7.1. Everything seems to work OK, but the Prologic system crashes unexpectedly when I perform normal functions like hitting "Stop" in the transport, or while I am playing back sequences. I am only using Prologic AV for MIDI sequencing right now; no audio recording yet.
Is there anything special I need to do when installing Prologic AV? I don't know what these "environment" files are for, and I haven't done anything manually with them. (I must admit I am not a Mac expert; I am knowledgeable in the PC arena but Macs are a little like a jungle to me still.) Can anyone give me some pointers for making this work?
