I have a QS7 with a digital out. I'm building a new DAW and am deciding which sound card to buy. I'm looking at an RME DIGI 96/8 PST which has a number of different input options: SPDIF I/O coaxial, SPDIF I/O optical, AES/EBU compatible, ADAT optical, Stereo Analog I/O . The manual says I have to buy an adaptor to run it to a SPDIF but I'm wondering if a simple chord of some type would do because of all the options this card presents. The question: if so, which input is correct and what kind of chord would I need?
