: Does anyone have any helpful hints/info on the best way to get a realistic guitar strumming sound? (other then the obvious, using a real guitar!) :)

: any help is appreciated

Well, you could learn to play guitar. I have been picking a little up
and it is actually quite useful. At Jams, for example, I can at least
work out what key the guitarist has started off in by reading
his fingerboard.

With practice you can produce strum like patterns on your keyboard. Work on
laying down chords with slight arpeggios. Remember there are up strokes and down
strokes on a guitar. There's lots of things you can't simulate, such as hammer ons and
pull offs, and the more subtle forms of muting, and some chords and progressions are
easy on a guitar but difficult or impossible on a keyboard unless you also use your nose,
but strumming is not to hard.
