Sigh - they failed to be inovative in their core market; the ADAT and the QS range. If they had built
on those successes instead of treating them as cash cows for other developments,
they would still be workd beaters. Instead, they are behind the curve on digital synthesis
(the Andromeda is too expensive and too specialized to ever be a huge seller) and they
were way late to the hard disk recording market.
As sucessful hi tech firms know, in hi tech, if you have a market leading product, your first
concern is to make it obsolete with something better. As it is, the only reason for buyiong
a QS at the moment is that it is good value for money, not that it is the one synth you
cannot live without.
