Look at Chapter 5, page 7 - it shows you how to create a split, or to assign a midi channel(or sound) to a range of keys. You need to be in Mix mode - that is where you can decide on what patches will be in your mix and the range of keys that the patch will be active in. You can create splits and layers here.
: I bought my QS8 used and love it. No manual with it so I downloaded and printed one. Darned if I can figure it out. I'm a musician not a technician. Is there anything written(in plain English) that can walk me step by step thru the layering/mixing/keyboard splitting process?? I don't want to have to but a stack of keyboards to get to different sound combinations on stage.
