: You can use the different preset banks, it just depends on what type of sequencing software you are using. For Cakewalk, there is available (on this site, i think) a patch definitions file, which lets you select sounds and banks by their real names. If you do not use cakewalk, most programs have some way of changing banks and programs. Jazz++, an excellent freeware MIDI sequencer, lets you import custom-made sets of banks and patches.
