: Is it not possible to write them by inserting the FlashRAM to the PCMCA slot of the notebook?

Sound Bridge gives you the option of either directly writing the card data to the card in the synth's slot, or alternatively to put it in an IMG image file on your PS's hard drive. The latter is raw binary sector data, which (in theory at least) can be directly written to a FlashRAM card in your PCMCIA slot. Of course, you'd need a suitable program that allows you to write raw sectors onto the card - something like this most likely exists, but it definitely does not come as standard with windows.
