You're definitely correct about the clock speeds. And unfortunately, I'm now noticing an occasional pop at the 44.1 clock speed (throw my previous hypothesis out the window). I'll have to hunt down the manuals for these devices and investigate the clock settings. Maybe there's something I missed.
