You have not mentioned setting the free running clock speed of the M20. The
sync is a phase lock loop and if the free running freequency is 48 while the data being
sent is only 44.1, you can expect that you will lose synch every so often and this will
result in clicking. I know this happens with my Core 2 card if I get the free running
frequency wrong even though its synching up to the input.
