Did you try to go to the GLOBAL settings and make the KEYBOARD-MODE to Normal? If it is set up as OUT-1 or CH-SOLO, this will make your keyboard play only one program that is mapped for the selected channel.
: It is possible to disable the keyboard for a voice or voices in MIX mode, but it takes more than a button push. Try resetting the keyboard by turning on power while holding the 0 and 3 buttons. Have the mod wheel and volume all the way down when you do this.
