You are correct - I use uLogic and when I select a track to record it seems to automatically set the channel to record to keyboard on midi out on and all the other channels to midi in on and keyboard/midi out off - definitely gotta use the mix mode

:
: This is probably very simple but I am stumped. I am trying to use Cakewalk HS 9.0 to record several songs. I have a "band" set up (guitar, piano, organ, bass, drums, and using programs from bank Preset 1) and have successfully recorded several tracks. I created a band mix for playback and all the recorded tracks play back fine.

: To record I would lay down the organ track to use as a base. Then I would lay down the next instrument, then the next, etc.

: The problem is that I can't hear the tracks already recorded unless I use the band mix. That means I can't use the programs on Preset 1 to lay down the next track. This makes it extremely difficult to record.

: The only thing I can figure is to disable the keyboard input for the band mix for all the instruments except for the one I want to record. Is this right or is their a better way that is escaping me?
