trying to record qsr to adat staying digital. using light pipe from qsr to adat. adat set to digital input. intermittent cracking sound. replaced with a known good optical cable and same cracking. no response from alesis. both units working correctly other than cracking sounds, which peg the meters when they occur. any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks in advance pat.
