Hi Roger,
If you have a software or hardware sequencer, it should include a means to receive a sysex message from your synth. Once you've got the sequencer set up to receive the sysex, send the sysex dump according to your QS manual. Make sure you have the MIDI ports set up to send/receive to the QS. The sequencer should record it, and from there you can save the sysex dump as a file, *.syx

You probably don't have to do anything special to the synth to receive the sysex message from the sequencer. Just send the sysex message, and the synth should receive it. Your user patches will be written over by whatever is in the sysex file.

This is all general info, as I don't have an original QuadraSynth, but it should be about right.
