As far as I know - you need a memory card to store wavs - when you dump a sysex - that only contains information as to what wavs are used and from where they are used from which is always internal ROM or the memory card - and of couse, all of the modifying parameters of each sound (LFOs, efx, etc)are sent as well

: Is it possible without having a storage card to store a wave file onto my qs8?
: I know that it is possible to overwrite the complete userbank with alesis freeloader. But to do that I need an complete userbank with the sound I created in it, and I don't know how do do that. I thought soundbridge can manage this, but you need a storage card. I tried Cubase and it is possible to send and receive sounds/banks with it, but how do I get this wave in syx format? Perhaps you can help me
