There is a rain sound already in your QS8 in the sound effects group. It's not loud but you should be able to use one of your user banks and assign the sound to any of the programs by itself. Depending on how you're trying to use it, it may be loud enough to use. Good luck.

: : : I tried cakewalk not cubase, sorry

: : The QS synths cannot read a .wav file directly. They must be converted into the Alesis proprietary format first. That is what Soundbridge does. It converts .wav, AIFF or sample cell files into the proper format for the synth to use. Since extra or new sample data cannot be written to internal memory it must be stored to a data card. So without a flash card you're out of luck. If you get your sound converted to .syx it still won't work because the synth won't recognize the proper sample or parameter data. The .syx file in short must be generated from an Alesis synth to be able to be read.

: Ok thanks, then I'l have to buy one.
: Or has anyone a complete userbank with a rain programm/mix in it? Owerwriting my Userbank would be possible
