Hey Bill, I think you were incorrectly informed. As far as I know, only Roland EV-5 or compatables will work according to the manual, but trust me when I say that the Roland pedal is the one to use. I've tried the compatables such as the Fatar (who makes pedals for Emu,Kurzweil etc.)and they don't work very well. The Yamaha FC-7 will not work with the QS synths. I know I have one. It will work with all Yamaha and Korg gear, but nothing else.
