Thanks Rod for your reply - but I don't think it has anything to do with the stand, the keys themselves have strangely gone defective... these are only certain keys, I can't put any rhyme or reason to it. To say the least I am disappointed with my QS8 as a controller keyboard, these annoyances are pushing me to think more constructively and look elsewhere for a better keyboard (but I do like some of the QS sounds so I might get a QSR or something, who knows). Thanks though!

: How are you supporting it? If you're using a X-type stand, it's not well supported and it's causing the case to bend, causing the action problems. One trick is to lay a piece of wood over the stand and then put the keyboard over it. This is a common problem with large 88 key synths. (I've seen this with the kurz's, for instance)

: Alesis is slowing getting back to its feet. You should hopefully be able to get spare parts soon. I have a friend who's been waiting for a part for his DM Pro for 6 months now... so good luck.
