Freeloader wouldn't work on my Mac, period, even with serial ports. It wouldn't do anything but crash, and lock up everything else along with it.

Try SysEx, or some other similar player. It's always worked flawlessly for me, not only with my QS7, but with some Roland gear, too. Just a great, all-around bit of freeware:

: Hi everyone! I'm just getting started in this MIDI stuff, and have found Freeloader does not work on my iMac with USB ports. Alesis says there are other programs available, but I don't know which one to use, and they seem kind of "unsure" as to which program to suggest. I want to load the "extra" banks from the Alesis CD onto an s-ram card and it can only be done with a program like Freeloader. Help? Appreciate it. Heather
