Is MicroLogic compatible with USB?

I'm about ready to retire my Roland hardware sequencer in favor of using the MicroLogic program that came with the CD. The previous method has just gotten too unwieldy with the number of sound sources I've accumulated by now.

However, in looking over the program's PDF manual, I notice that the screen shots for the setup process only show options for the old Mac connectivity standards, i.e., printer and modem serial ports.

Would this be irrelevant, as long as my MIDI driver supports USB? I'd like to clarify this before getting the USB MIDI inferface that I *think* I want.

The computer is a last-generation graphite iMac; the interface I'm leaning toward is a MOTU Micro Express USB 4x6, which would be driven by the most recent version of FreeMIDI.

I realize that MicroLogic has a few years on it by now, but the expense of a newer program would only be a waste of money. Since I have a VS-1880, I don't need a sequencer with audio capabilities....just the MIDI.

Thanks to any and all who can clarify this.
