Thanks for your help David! I went to a local music store looking for the Tech 21 MIDI Mouse. They didn't have it but I explained what I needed and he pulled out a Digitech MIDI pedal that, a few years ago had listed for over $300, but he sold it to me for $49! I got it home, my wife and I programmed it and it works like a charm!

Thanks for your help, you were a lifesaver.

Carl

: : So you want to go the Jordan Rudess way. Don't we all? AFAIK this feature isn't implemented on the Alesis boards (funny my old Korg M1 had it but never used it)You could get a Tech 21 Midi Mouse footpedal wich does the job. You will need to set the programs or mixes in the order they will be used.
: : One other option is this: Set up a split in MIX mode with the programs set in the octaves or keys that that certain programs will be used. Say you will use piano, strings and synth lead. Set the synth to the higher part of the keyboard down to where the strings will be used, and, set the piano to the lower part of the keyboard, adjust pitch octave on all of these. You can make all these combination on diferent MIX locations and just hit one button on the fly, either the UP or the MIX number. Hope this helps
