I have transferred sound banks from a QS8.2 to a QS7.1 and back with no problems. As far as I know, the rom sample sets are identical between the 'point 1' and 'point 2' synths. The only difference between them apparently is the number of outputs (4 on the older ones, and 2 on the newer ones) and the card slots (2 on the older, and only 1 on the newer).
Oh yea, and the color!
