Had the same problem twice with my QS6 (bought it in 1995). Both times I had to change the LCD display. Did it by myself (it is no big deal). everything works now ;)

: Hello. I have a qs since they first came out, and the display has packed up (For a while now). The display lights up,and there are characters displayed, but this is all gobble -D-gook and in random. any suggestions? Please?
    : Thanks.
