QS-SERIES PANNING?

i notice that something was, is, and probably will
always be a little disappointing about the QS-series'
panning capabilities... now, i know that they all use
stereo samples, which is great, but however -- why is
it that panning can only effectively be adjusted from
using the control panel on the synth itself? whenever
i try to send a pan message from my sequencer, it makes
the respective patch go from a stereo one to a mono one,
and of course, it sounds HORRIBLE! are there any
solutions for this problem of mine =)? i believe many
other people are experiencing it as well...

also, is there any way i can set my QS8 to totally
BLOCK all pan messages from coming in from sequencers
on my computer and the like? my current sequencer,
Musicshop, automatically sets the pan of each channel
to dead center when i load it up, and of course, that
totally ruins everything. i'd just like to block all
those pan messages so that i can do my work without
having to worry about pan this pan that =)!

thanx very much... if anyone has an answer to my
questions, please e-mail me... :-D
