The QS8 is a "professional" level keyboard, so the manual people
expect some basic knowledge from the users. If they would go into
explaining every little details, we would end up with a manual the size of a
phone book, and it could be equally confusing.
I guess, it would be a user-friendly idea to publish a separate "beginner's guide"
for people who have no previous experience with synths and MIDI. Of course these days
information is easy to find, if you look around the Web, you will find lots of
useful pages to learn more. And you can always ask, that's why we're here...
BTW. the Alesis manual is pretty good compared to some other synth manuals, and the
QS8 is fairly easy to use.
