Hello. I hope someone can help.
I recently got a computer, rendering my Alesis MMT-8 sequencer almost obsolete -- except I'd like to get my sequences from the MMT-8 to my sequencing software.
I have a PowerMac, and using FreeMIDI, I set up all the parts of my system, however, with the serial port in use, the MMT-8 no longer communicates with the QS6 through the MIDI in/out cables.
This is a problem! Ideally I would also like to slave the MMT-8 to sync the MIDI from my computer with my Tascam 4-track tape deck.
Aside from the last resort of buying a MIDI interface (one reason I got the QS6 was to avoid this), can anyone help me get my MMT-8 in the loop?
