Since I don't have neither MAC nor UNISYN, I can only guess:

First you have to make sure in which format your 'sysex' files are.
A 'real', plain sysex (normal extension .syx) should load from a PC and a MAC just fine because it contains ONLY the information your synth sends through the wire.
Maybe what you call 'sysex' is a special UNISYN format. Then it depends on the MAC version of UNISYN if it will PC format files.
Try this:

- Record a complete memory dump ('dump all') of your synth using .syx format (plain sysex)
I think Freeloader should do this (haven't tried for myself, though)
- Transfer the file to your mac and send it back to the synth. If it says 'receiving' then this works (it should)
A workaround for your problem could be if you converted your unisyn files to .syx (by sending and re-receiving them).
