: Has anyone tried (successfully) a Roland ev-5? If so do you know of anywhere I can buy one at a reasonable price?

EV-5 works great as a volume pedal with my QS-8. The QS-8 can be programmed to use the pedal for different features as well (just like the A-B-C-D sliders), but I haven't gotten past using it as a volume pedal. If you have a QS-7 or QS-8, you might even consider buying 2 pedals (there are two pedal jacks), and use one pedal for volume, and the other for what ever else you want to control.

I paid about $60.00 for the pedal, and had to order it from a local music store that sells Roland equipment.
