I guess your using the keyboard by itself without a computer. I find I don't have to change anything on the keyboard when I use CakeWalk, I leave the keyboard on Mix mode set to multimbrl, then what ever my tracks are set to for the song I have loaded, the voices/programs will be changed on the keyboard automatically.
I find I have problems trying to play along with the tracks in mix mode, volume problems. If you change anything on the keyboard and you want to keep it, you have to store it. Good Luck!
