A used quadrasynth plus for less than $400.00
is a good beginner synth with over 2900 patches
available over the net for free.
Be sure to get the plus model(QS+) not the
original (without the plus).
Has Gen. MIDI bank of 127 programs and 4 other banks
of 127, for 640 on-board programs,with ram card for
8 more banks of 127 each! I get lost sometimes.
In the mix mode uses combinations of programs
across the two sides of the keyboard,
many firing together for an over whelming effect.
I had a QSR sound module with another keyboard
and got a QS+ and got rid of
the QSR (no parameter adjustment x 4 knobs).
