: Help!! I'm using Cakewalk Home Studio 6 to sequence with QS8 and whenever I start a sequence,
: I first send bank/patch changes on the midi channels I want in track view to call up the proper programs
: in the mix. I am using USER MIX00 (multitimbral) and have GM mode off and all associated midi IN's set to on.
: I am interfaced with an OPCODE studio 128x and have intrument definitions set up correctly.
: Whenever I start sequence, some but not all programs are called up properly- most of the time, and sometimes they are.
: Whenever I play GM sequences, everthing works fine. What might cause this inconsistancy???? Thanks.........

I can't answer your question directly, but have a few hints and suggestions:

First, be sure you have set the bank select method correctly. It's Controller 0 for the QS series. That may solve your problem.

Are you setting the patches on the left side of the screen or are you inbedding them in the tracks? I use the more standard method, and knowing about controller 0, have no trouble getting the patches I want.

Also, please note that if you want to use the user bank, you should call it 128 instead of zero. This gives you access to the user patches.
