If I understand correctly, the $1250 QS8 is a refurbished series ("new" units that may have been sent back for service that had replacement parts installed). The QS7, I hadn't heard about refurbs but I suppose thats possible too. I bought a Yorkville 300K keyboard amp for my QS8 under the same premise. Haven't had any trouble with the refurb amp.
