They do transmit and recieve velocity ,and aftertouch
and are fully functional as a master controller
as for the action I only know about the QS6.1
and it has pretty good action especially for its price,it is
semi weighted synth action.
The qs8 has full weighted action but your best bet is to try one at a music store.
