Good Call Dave!!! (Thanks for the input Marcus. My soundcard is misbehaving so I couldn't try your suggestion)

Anyway, moving to the Alesis serial driver was the magical solution. Combine this with the latest Soundbridge and the synth is pretty happy.

I don't suppose anyone's figured out how to trigger these sequences real time from a MIDI controller or the keyboard? (Sorry but the two handed MIX 00 # isn't especially conducive to live performance changes)

Thanks again for the advice folks. Hope I can return the favor sometime.

: Look back a few posts to the one titled "Got the Roland Serial Driver but now...". This topic was somewhat discussed.

: The Roland driver just "kinda" works. It can send midi files pretty much OK but I had problems with sequences with a lot of stuff happening at the same time (i.e. 14 channels of instruments playing at once along with midi events such as sustain, modulation and volume changes). Soundbridge would not work at all nor could I load any sysex files to the User bank using Freeloader. There is a simple solution - get rid of the Roland driver and only use the Alesis serial driver. also make sure you are using the latest version of SoundBridge (I think its a beta version) which you can download from the Alesis site.

: Hope this helps.......... Dave
