Jeez -- I'm having exactly the same problem -- I I use MIDI (MPU401) it works just fine, but no matter what program I use or speed setting on the Serial driver, my QS6.1 just stops transmitting all of a sudden. If you guys find any answers, please let me know.

: This is the same problem I'm having.
Everything hooks up fine at 38.4, but then out of nowhere I lose the connection. I can go back up to Midi devices and click off the serial connection. Cakewalk immeadiately recognizes the connection again.

: Any Help would be appreciated

: : Hmm.. I thought that would solve the problem too, but after like 15 seconds of playing, the synth just
: : stops transmitting, and the only way I can get it to respond to Cakewalk again
: : is to close and re-open the program. Odd..

: : : It worked fine for me once I set the baud rate down to 38.4 - haven't had a problem since.

: : : : Is anyone else having problems with the serial driver and windows 98, cakewalk 6.0??
: : : : I can't seem to get it to work properly. I don't recall having this problem with Windows 95.
: : : : Bad move to upgrade..! Any suggestions or similiar experiences?
