: I know that the Nanosynth and the QS6 are in many respects the same. Is the Nanosynth profile
: just the QS6 profile renamed?

No, there's a Nanosynth profile, but it has several bugs in it: banks numbered wrong,
and program (as opposed to mix and mix edit buffer) effects editing is not possible,
thought it should be. MOTU has been unresponsive to requrests for fixing the problems.

: Alternatively, I downloaded the demo version of Qcontrol and I like it so far.

I like QControl quite a bit better than Unisyn for patch editing. Unisyn is good at
being the "librarian" for lots of patches.

You could try asking Alesis for a copy of the CD. I seem to remember people in similar situations getting a copy of the CD, even
when they bought a used synth.
