I noticed instrument definition files on this site for some of the Q-Cards. The problem I ran into is putting the Q-card ins. def. files in the same Cakewalk directory where the default Alesis ins. def. file resides. It wrote over the default... well, it had the same Title name (Alesis QS8), but fortunately not the same DOS file name. This made accessing the Q-card ins. def. very difficult. As I recall, I had to take out the default ins. def file and then rename the Q-card ins. def file just so Cakewalk would see it. (At least that's what I think I did.)
If you know how to edit instrument definition files in Cakewalk (at least the title names)so Cakewalk recognizes them along with the default ins. def file - I think that's winning half the battle right there.
