    : Hello y'all,

: Are the Alesis Monoor One or Point Seven Monitors good ones. Is the output as clear as it is through headphones? What are the best kind of monitors for studio and small gigs? Thanks for any help!

I've actually done something completely unorthodox,
but it works really well for me. I bought a 100 amp
built for taking sound off of a pc sound card and
mounted it in the rack bag (a roksak) with my qsr.
I plug some very small black (35 watts each) speakers
into the amp,and set them on top of my sl880 controller.
It gives me the volume I need to myself (even over
drums), though it won't qualify for a full blown monitor.
What I like about it is that the amp mounts in the rack
bag with the qsr, and the speakers fit just fine in
my bag I carry pedals, power supplies, etc in -- in
other words, monitors which are full range, reasonblt
powerful, and fit into the bags I already carry!

    Russ
