There are many sites where you can look.
Try:

Also, if you go to Harmony Central, they have lists of sites with sample downloads (as well as places you can buy samples).
As far as format goes, wav or samplecell files work. If you get a copy of Awave or another file converter, you should be able to make other formats work. For example, I have used Awave to convert Kurzweil (krz) files into something a QS can understand, although I still haven't quite figured out remapping in a way to avoid detuning as the QS "stretches" the samples. If you figure that one out, let me know.
