: hi, everyone, i have a few question for those of you who own and qs editor, especially q control

: I have bought q contorl while back, and i am using cakewalk pro audio 8.01 and sonic foundry acid and a sound blaster live sound card. sound balster is not multi-client midi port, by using the hubi loopback and midicable program, i have turn the sound card into multiclient. i know it works because i have try it with acid and cakewalk.
: acid mtc--LB2--cakewalk -------LB1--soundblaster midi out
: soundblaster midi in

: and it works flawessly.

: however, when i try to use qcontrol with cakewalk at the same time the qcontrol is giveing me this error of "no response from device"

: soundblaster midi in -------LB2------cakewalk-----LB1-------soundblaster midiout
: LB2-------qcontrol----LB1
: i don't see anything wrong with the setup, and if i disable hubi' loopback, and cakewalk, assign the in and out to soundblaster midi in and out, then the qcontrol works flawessly, so what is the problem,

: also, in addition to hubi' loopback, anyone out there using anyother midi utility,

: pleasse help, thanks

I had the same prob with the latest Alesis serial driver, Cakewalk, and QControl ("no response, etc."). It was solved when I used the Roland serial driver
(look for "multiserial" in www.edirol.com). It has A and B ports.. use A for Cake and B for QControl. Works fine.
