: : I'm kinda new to some of this, and I am trying to use the mixes on the QS6.1. I am using a couple of different sequencing programs, but I am having a slight problem playing the various instruments indivudually in a mix. What I am trying to do is be able to play the portions of the sequence I already have and then play over those in a different instrument (i.e. laying down drums over piano) Whenever I try to do this, the keyboard plays both channels 1 and 10 (the piano and the drums)
: : Any suggestions?

: Other way! - Switch off echo option in your sequenser and set ch solo on KBD mode. This way you wil not
: receive the midi command back to QS and wil have no dubbling!

When I do this, the other instruments cut out and don't play. I'm doing all of the sequencing through a computer (Mac) and using the serial connection to do so (just in case that might help troubleshoot)
From what I have always understood (working with keyboards other than this one) once you set what instrument is on a particular channel using banks/mixes, and have that track selected on the computer sequencer, only that instrument should play when the keyboard keys are played, though the other instruments are still played thru the program and the amp.
