Hey April,

Having just gone through the same ordeal, I know a few things about the subject. I ended up choosing the QS6.1
for its sounds. I have been a working music teacher and weekend playing musician for almost 30 years. The Alesis
keyboards are the first I have played that had a true piano sound, one that doesn't fall apart in the higher register.
Other sounds like strings and orchestra instruments just arn't that important to me. What I wanted was 1) piano 2) drums
and 3) synth. On the QS6.1, these sounds are tops The QS6.1 also works well with my computer for sequencing
and notation. You will have to become fermiliar with computer software packages but that is a whole other set
of choices you will have to make.

What I am saying is for you to play both of them. Bring a good set of head phones to do the listening with. You
never know what you will have to play through in a music store. Compare the sounds that are IMPORTANT TO YOU
and your creative output. Base your decision on this.

Hope this helps
