There are 2 good programs who can read AKAI sample cd's:
S-Converter that come with Gigasampler and CDxtract 3.0 that converts AKAI and ROLAND sample cd's into *wav files or *.sf2 files.

I'm a registered user of CDxtract cause it's easy, fast and very cheap.

This program can: a) extract separately all the samples from an AKAI program in wav format or b) convert an AKAI program into Soundfont file (*.sf2). This *.sf2 file is mapped and looped perfectly cause it comes from an AKAi conversion.

This format is ideal for make an Soundbridge instrument. You just open it with Awave and save it as *.INS file. And then you load this *.INS file through Soundbridge in a Flash Card.

if you need anything more tell me.
