I'm working on setting up my SR-16 with a GM drum map so that I can use it to play the drums in a GM sequence. The normal mode obviously doesn't work since I only get 12 of the 46 (or so) GM Drum map sounds. The way it seems this has to be done is to set it up in the Multi-drum set mode and build up all the sounds linking the individual drum maps.
Is there an easier way to do it, or is this even right? It seems such an obvious capability for a drum machine in this day and age. I've seen some very old postings elsewhere on the web of people having done this before, but the links were old and the postings weren't too informative.
Also, if anybody knows of any discussion groups relating to the sr-16 please let me know.
