I downloaded the latest driver from Alesis and fixed my compatibility problem with my QS8 and PC... Duh!!!! :-)
I am working with Cubase and my computer is communicating with the QS8..... but why do all of the patches on the QS8 sound like total dung coming through Cubase/Multimedia speakers. Why can't I get the sonic fidelity of the Presets 1-3 and user patches as if I was playing the QS8 through a keyboard amp???? Judging by the demos on the QS8... there has to be a way to get better sounding, non-cheezy sounding patches via MIDI. What am I doing wrong? Is this a setting within the Cubase software, a global setting on the QS8 or a multimedia setting on my PC that needs to be modified????? Any help would be appreciated. I am a MIDI newbie and I need some help from any of you experienced Quadrasynth pros. Thanks.
