The first thing I would check is to make sure that the output port is set correctly in Cakewalk. Click on the sysex view, highlight the bank you want to send then click on the little midi icon in the toolbar, set it to correct port. Also, most synths have a sysex off but I don't believe the QS series does, you could check that if the port setting does not work. Also, (just guessing here), there is a box in global options in Cakewalk to record sysex. If you already had the sysex in cakewalk, you wouldn't expect that to interfer with sending it, but you never know. Go to global options and see if sysex is checked in midi, if so, uncheck it.
